Hair Restoration
At CHARM Medi-spa, we offer one of the most promising non-surgical treatments for hair restoration. PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy is one of the most effective alternatives to surgery for men and women who require stimulation for hair growth, for hair loss conditions such as female/male pattern baldness or androgenic alopecia. Combined with our RF microneedling, it is a match made in heaven, as well as a simple, painless procedure that produces results over time.
What Is PRP & How Does It Work?
Platelet Rich Plasma is a product that comes from spinning down blood, effectively separating its components. Human blood contains specific types of stem cells, as well as essential and specific growth factors that assist in tissue regeneration and healing. Studies have shown that growth factors released from platelets may act on stem cells in the bulge area of the follicles, stimulating the development of new follicles and promoting improved blood flow.
What Should I Expect During My Appointment For Hair Regeneration?
The first step in the process is a consultation, during which we will determine whether you are a good candidate for PRP Hair Restoration. If there are no active follicles in the area, then there is very little we can do, even with the combined magic of PRP and Microneedling.
And What Then? What If I'm A Good Candidate?
After that, if you are a good candidate, one of our qualified staff members will draw your blood just as if you were having routine lab work run. While we wait for the blood to finish spinning down in the centrifuge, we will apply a topical anesthesia to your scalp to minimize any discomfort you might have during the procedure. Then we will use our microneedling machine, opening a multitude of microscopic channels into your scalp, over which the plasma (or fibrin) will be poured, allowing it to almost immediate absorb so that it can do its work.
So... Will I Leave The Office Looking Like I Just Had Blood Poured Over My Head?
Not at all! That's the magic of the microneedling. The PRP absorbs incredibly quickly, leaving you able to go on with your day.
Does PRP Therapy Work?
Like with anything else, individual results do vary. That said, we have seen some pretty incredible results, and have found that some people just require more time and a few more treatments, while others respond more quickly with fewer treatments. If you're curious whether it's a good option for you, our consultation are free, so stop reading this and just give us a call, already!
